What Our Flag Means To Me

June 14th is Flag Day. Our country began celebrating this important day during the 19th Century, although the inspiration for Flag Day goes back to 1777. That is when the Second Continental Congress passed a resolution defining our first flag.

Our flag is a symbol of respect and pride everywhere in our country. Although terrorists and radicals try to diminish our country and our flag, they will never be successful as long as we stand together.

That is why Flag Day is an important day for each of us. Stand united - fly our flag proudly. Respect it, and honor the men and women who have sacrificed everything to keep it flying freely through the ages.

What does our Flag mean to you? Share your thoughts and your pride in our flag and our country with me on my web site. If you have a special story about our flag, please share it with all of us.

Sometime it is so simple. What makes us American... It all starts with the Flag. Let us respect our flag, and wave it proudly whenever we have the opportunity. Most important let us teach our children at a young age (in school) what it means to be an American!
